Compounding Disclaimer

This disclaimer explains how compounded preparations offered through the Theo & Thea platform — operated by Axtra Health Sdn Bhd (Company Registration No. 1646544-K) — are prepared, and by whom.

1. Axtra Health is a platform, not a pharmacy

Axtra Health Sdn Bhd operates the Theo & Thea website and software. It does not hold a pharmacy licence and does not itself compound, dispense, or supply any medicine or poison. Compounding is carried out exclusively by our licensed pharmacy partner, currently Amber Pharmacy Sdn Bhd. The current list of professional and pharmacy partners is maintained at Professional partners, as more pharmacists, doctors, and pharmacy partners join the Platform over time.

2. Patient-specific preparation only

Every compounded preparation offered through Theo & Thea is prepared for a named patient, based on their own health assessment and pharmacist review. Nothing is manufactured in bulk ahead of an order, kept as ready-made stock, or sold as a standard, off-the-shelf product. Your preparation is not safe or legal for anyone else to use, and must not be shared, resold, or redistributed.

3. Legal basis for compounding

Compounding in Malaysia is governed principally by the Poisons Act 1952, the Sale of Drugs Act 1952, the Registration of Pharmacists Act 1951, and the Medicines (Advertisement and Sale) Act 1956. Under section 12 of the Poisons Act 1952, a poison may only be dispensed, compounded, or mixed for medical treatment by a registered pharmacist, or by a person working under the immediate personal supervision of one. Our compounding pharmacy partner prepares every order under this framework, with a licensed pharmacist responsible for reviewing and releasing each preparation before it reaches you.

4. Not a bypass of regulatory oversight

Compounding a patient-specific preparation is legally and practically different from manufacturing a commercial drug product. A compounded preparation made for you is not registered with the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) as a mass-produced product, because it is not one — this is standard practice for pharmacist-compounded, patient-specific medicine, both in Malaysia and internationally, and does not bypass NPRA or any other regulatory authority. Our compounding pharmacy partner remains responsible for the quality, sourcing, and safe preparation of every order under the pharmacy legislation described above.

5. Ingredient sourcing and quality

Our compounding pharmacy partner is responsible for sourcing pharmaceutical-grade ingredients and for the quality, potency, and safe preparation of every compounded item. If you have questions about a specific ingredient or preparation method, contact us at admin@axtrahealth.com and we will route your question to the responsible pharmacist.

6. Refills

Refills are never automatic. Each refill cycle requires a short health re-screen and a fresh pharmacist review before a new preparation is made, so that any change in your health, medications, or allergies is caught before a repeat order goes ahead.

7. Reporting a problem

If a preparation looks, smells, or behaves differently than expected, or you experience an adverse reaction, stop use, seek medical attention if needed, and report it immediately to admin@axtrahealth.com so it can be escalated to the compounding pharmacist.
